Alan gave me the gift of allowing me to be completely present during our reception because he was managing our per-arranged goals.

Susie and Ari Cetron

Married at Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle

He provided great advice that was thoughtful and catered to who we were as a couple – you could tell that he really cared about making the day special for us and something that we would always want to remember.

Audra and Ryan Earl

Married at Newcastle Golf and Country Club

We needed someone to bring people together who are from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. So, after talking with Alan just two minutes, we realized that he was our guy.

Diana and Jordan Mandel

Married at Ray's Boathouse

Everyone is talking about how personal everything was and saying it was the best wedding dance party they’ve been to, and so much of that is because of you.

Sarah and Kyle Dominick

Married at Robinswood House in Bellevue

You really went above and beyond all our expectations!

Christina and Isaac Becker

Married at Stilly Brook Farm in Arlington

Alan was so helpful! I don’t know what we would have done without all of his great advice. He has so much knowledge and information, it is beyond fantastic!

Michelle and Brian Nagy

Married at Sanders Estate in Auburn

Honestly, it was amazing. Little to nothing went wrong, everyone had a blast, and I know Alan played a huge role in that.

Chelsa and Levon Dunn

Married at Robinswood House in Bellevue

An absolute master at what he does and someone who kept the party rolling all night long.

Dorothy and Reid Johnson

Married at Salty's on Alki in West Seattle

We appreciate everything you put into making our night so memorable and fun for all our guests.

Victoria and Michael Villareal

Married at Historic 1625 Tacoma Place

We were able to create the perfect playlist and Al delivered on an awesome dance party.

Carinn and Elliott White

Married at Within Sodo

Free DJ Services for Non-Profits

Flat-out, I lead (and have led) a completely charmed life. So I think it’s important to express my gratitude and repay the universe. One of the ways I give back is to donate my services to charities and non-profits  working to make the world a bit of a better place.

So, if you are with a non-profit organization in the Seattle area and need an MC and/or DJ for an event, I hope you’ll let me know and I will consider donating my services. I have unlimited respect for the people who are making the world a better place. If I can help, I will try.

Please visit my Contact Alan page and let me know about your event.

I’m especially interested in groups that are on the front lines of helping people fight homelessness, poverty and hunger. I’m happy to help companies who are participating in annual “Giving Campaigns.” And, yes, I’m happy to help political candidates and campaigns whose values correlate with mine.

Someone who really inspired me in this was the late singer Harry Chapin, who played roughly half his concerts as benefits. Whew.

Hope Heart Institute Take Heart Luncheon

“Alan’s great music is matched by his wonderful generosity. Alan set the tone for our inaugural fundraising luncheon – not only with music but by joining in the spirit of the day by giving of his time and talent. The energy in the room was boosted by just the right choice of song and there was fun in our fun-draising event! Alan is a true professional and talented DJ who genuinely cared about the success of our event and helping us reach our goal to change the course of cardiovascular disease.
Thank you Alan – with you we are “Stayin’ Alive!”

—Gail Lapasin, Director of Philanthropy

Puget Sound Blood Center Swim for Life

Puget Sound DJ (a.k.a Alan Chitlik) really knows how to make people feel special – all day long!
He sponsored the 13th annual Puget Sound Blood Center Swim for Life event, welcoming more than 500 participants who swam and paddled 2½ miles from Medina Beach to Madison Beach and raised $ for bone marrow registration. After swimmers crossed the lake and hit Madison Beach, Puget Sound DJ greeted them with an incredible selection of music, humorous announcements and recognition.  It was an energetic celebration like we have never seen before. This year’s Swim for Life was especially successful because Puget Sound DJ kept everyone together POST-EVENT to high-five each other, get team photos and enjoy refreshments and celebrate Alan Chitlik (a.k.a. Puget Sound DJ) has unmatched skill, charm, and humor!”

—Scott Leopold, Founder & Coordinator

Susannah White’s THREE FEET of SUNSHINE Monster Bash

“Thank you so much. You really made our event something special and FUN! Great job livening up the mood & atmosphere of Monster Bash and for getting the kids excited and moving. Your generosity is AMAZING!”

—Amy White

Central Park Conservatory fundraiser

“The BEST! I am so lucky to know Alan! I called him for a fundraising party with a New York theme – I gave no direction – cause I was swamped and busy. Puget Sound DJ fully created the early evening New York vibe – exactly how I imagined it! AND then picked up the party and kept my guests dancing and entertained all …night long! He fully had a song for everyone – and knew just how to keep ’em on the floor. EVEN guys were dancing!! Alan MADE my party fantastic – I’ll NEVER go anywhere else for music! OH – and the OTHER great thing….my friends were still talking about the music and dancing on Facebook the day after my party — that’s gotta say something!!”

—Tina Nole

Northwest Hope and Healing Fashion Show

“Your contributions as a DJ kept the pacing just perfect: a combination of upbeat high energy songs, and transitional music that moved the event’s flow beautifully when it was time for our MC to take the stage.  Your knowledge and expertise about events helped us immensely with flow and planning, and I am absolutely certain that the overwhelming success of the event was at least in part to your professionalism, assistance, and thoughtful preparations. ”

—Kristina Dahl, Executive Director

Top Dance Songs of 2017

When I think about wedding dance songs in 2017, the list has to start with the “Despacito” remix and then everything else. Really, even the best wedding DJs I know thought it was a bit of a down year for dance music.
